Opening Hours of Trier Cathedral


 
April 1 to October 31:
daily 6:30 a. m. to. 6:00 p. m.
November 1 to March 31:
daily 6:30 a. m. to 5:30 p. m.

Sightseeing is not possible during church services.
You can reach the south portal, the main portal, of the Cathedral directly from the Main Market trough Sternstrasse. In addition, you can reach the Cathedral from Windstrasse and through the cloister ("Hinter dem Dom"). From the Main Station, it is a walk of about ten minutes to Trier Cathedral.

The Cathedral Information Office arranges you tours through the Cathedral and the Church of Our Lady or through the excavations under the Cathedral Information Office.

DVD "Trier Cathedral" is now available


 
The new film on Trier Cathedral from SWR Television, telecast recently on television, is now available as a DVD in German, English, Dutch, French, Italian, and Russian. The 30-minute film encompasses over 1,700 years of Trier Cathedral’s history and illuminates its significance as a place of pilgrimage, as bishop’s church, and as a testimony in stone to Christian faith.
