 Donations and dedications for the lighting of Saint Mary's Column are now being accepted by the Cathedral Information. Up to now, donors have had to go to the Office of the Vicar-General; now, however, this service is being offered by the Cathedral Information Office, which is also open on weekends.
In practice, nothing has changed: the lighting is financed principally by private donors who sponsor the lighting for a particular purpose, or they wish to dedicate it to a person, for example, to a gochild or on personal memorial days or anniversaries.
The donor will receive a confirmation of the order on request. Beginning in 2007, the lighting ist € 4.00 per night.
